See the miscellaneous tab for the colored version that appeared in The Jack Kirby Collector, issue 36, back cover, Summer 2002. Kirby's pencils were first published in "Kirby Unleashed" in 1971.
Mike did a fantastic job finishing this piece that should never be rejected. Isn't this cover rumored to be rejected by Vince Colleta himself because it was too busy to ink?
Congrats also for you, Tom, for painstakingly recreating the pencils for Mike, who surprisingly didn't work on blue prints or lightbox it. It's also a joy to be able to watch it with the zoom feature, something that I missed in the original site.
It's really sad to see how good it'd looked this series without Vince.
Great work!
