For promotion purpose and quick access, both comments and forum messages should appear on the same page. Maybe it would also be helpful to rename the page to something like: Jack Kirby's original art community : recent activity on Wik

The filter would allow to display :

- All recent activity (default)
- Forum posts
- Art comments

For referencement purpose, it would be useful to add keywords before each forum post and each art comment link:

EX. for comment:
Jack Kirby's original art comment: The Incredible Hulk, Issue 1, Page 26, Fantastic Four Ad

Umm, so what you're proposing, essentially, is...

...to supplement or replace the single "Recent Comments" tab at the bottom of the page with two new tabs at the top of the page -- one for "Recent Gallery Art Comments" and the other for "Recent Forum Comments". Is that right? I think that would definitely work very well.

EX. for post:
Jack Kirby's original art forum: Fearless Frank Giacoia

Recent comment section

Krackles I like this idea. I've been monitoring Google analytics on the site and the Recent Comments section is in the top 3 pages visited on the site so John's comment about going there first seems to be common.

I should be able to identify comments from Art verses Forum like you mention. I would however like to limit the number of main navigation links at the top of the page. I could replace some of the "Gallery by Index" and "My Portfolio" top navs with Recent Gallery Art Comments" and "Recent Forum Comments."

Another idea is to have 1 new main nav item. Some name ideas: "wall" or "wikwall" or "dashboard" or "community."

This would have all the comments (with filtering), who's online, number of members etc. I would also take off the "members" nav item and have it linked in this new page...

Thoughts?
