HMW

Tom, I believe Bruce D. Berry did ink this issue and cover of Omac.

Not as fluid as Royer

It's D. Bruce Berry.

D Day

Does someone know what D. stands for in D. Bruce Berry?
And why would someone cut short his first first name?

Almost positive

I know Mike's inking and Bruce's and I'm pretty certain it's Mike's inking. I can confirm with Mike in 3 weeks when I see him at the San Diego Comic Con...

Then again...

And man, with that stern look you got going in your avatar I believe you.

Mind boggling

Well, Tom. I sure would like you to confirm it first hand.
At first sight, I too, took it for a Royer but I remembered that Mighty Mike was supposed to have returned to Omac for the last issue only. The job is credited to Berry but, after studying it more, I get strange vibes, part Royer--part Berry and I can't make up my mind anymore.

The stance Frank…

…Everything is in the stance. You sure don't want to mess with the guy!

I'm stickin'...

...with Berry--but I could be wrong. I see Berry in the contour (outline) line and then I see those sheen lines that make me think Royer. Berry did those sheen line effects finer, tighter, and a lot more of them.

Brush

Berry used very little brush in his inking. Mike at this time used a lot. If you zoom in you'll see its mostly brush and Berry did the sheen line effects with pen that you mention. In addition on the lines of OMAC's chest he added those little tick lines, characteristic of Mike's inking and not Berry's.

Also if you look at the timeline of events. That same month a Losers and a Justice Inc. book was published, both inked by Royer.

OMAC 6 inker

Hope this helps. I'm probably going to see him this week and I'll try to remember to ask him, just to make sure.

O.ne M.an A.cknowledged C.reator

Alright Tom, between the brushwork and the gorilla on the lower left corner, you convinced me it's Mike Royer's inking.
