He's Tiny!

Great art! I read the pages in order, wondering the entire time if the pilot was going to be too huge or too tiny when he got to Earth!

Inking on this story is

Inking on this story is actually by Sol Brodsky, not Ayers. Brodsky's inking is much finer than Ayers' thicker style.

Man--I knew that wasn't Ayers. Wasn't sure who it was.

George Klein?

Definitely not Ayers. Comics.org list the inker as George Klein...? http://www.comics.org/issue/16561/

Out of the blue

I would go for Klein.

Klein?

The shading in panel 1 under the ships wing does look like a Klein technique.

What's with the perspective in the last panel to the left over the guys head with the pipe? "LOOK OUT!"--THE TOP OF THAT BUILDING IS SLIDING OFF!" Not to mention the punch card buildings to the right.

Compare this story to the

Compare this story to the Brodsky credited Ant-Man story in Astonish # 40. Brodsky's line is slicker than Klein's, whose work I've closely studied at Michael Vassallo's house. He has a file on Klein's art that goes back to the 1940s, and has distinctly pointed out Klein techniques that I don't see on any of these pages.

Took a look at that Ant-Man story and I see what you're saying--may have to decline to go with Klein.

Feel like I just pulled a Krackle with that, "decline to go with Klein" comment.

So its Brodsky?

I wonder where comic.org got Klein when there are no credits on the page 1 of this story...

re: So it's Brodsky?

In the gallery there are 4 out of 5 pages of this story there--with the page 1splash that has no credits on it.
