I love Reinman's inking. He keeps things simple, but his line is expressive and shows the kind of relaxed control I see in Japanese brush paintings. The folds on the costumes, the single bold strokes used on the wings, are just great.
My assumption is that very much like Chic Stone Reinman inked what Kirby gave him. Kirby's pencils were not always as complete in the early 60's as they became later on, it's likely the inks reflect the level of detail in the pencils.
Although he was a competent inker, Reinman on Kirby(with the exception of Avengers #2) never did it for me. I actually liked him the least on X-Men. 'Primitive looking' is the word that springs to my mind. It's just a personal preference. IMHO Chic Stone was a very welcome relief when he took over the inking chores starting in X-Men #6. I've had the opportunity to examine X-Men #6 firsthand in its entirety. It's a stunner.
What If Hokusai ?

X-cellent
Yes, nice early X-Men inks by Reinman, I like his bold brushwork.
Unfortunately everything he did with Kirby wasn't always as polished.

Beautiful design
I just love the design Kirby did on this page. The movement of the figures and the negative space though the word balloons get in the way a bit.
The one and only advantage of most modern art, I suppose...
No lettering on the page. It's all done digitally these days.
Or at least--on most books. Savage Dragon being an exception.
Latters have no letters
I prefer the lettering to be done on the page.
I like comics for what's making them unique.
What's the fun of owning half the content of a comicbook page anyway?
If I want a poster-like illustration, I can still commission an artist.
Not my cup of tea
